The markets reacted with immense euphoria, with stock exchanges soaring to highs, some breaking historical records. The world's billionaires also celebrated, a lot. The Bloomberg Billionaires Index recorded its biggest one-day gain in its history, adding $304 billion to the combined net worth of this group. Even before yesterday's turnaround in the markets, some billionaires bought shares of their own companies, viewing the lower prices as an opportunity to increase their stakes in their businesses.
